Closing Rikers, Zine, risograph printed zine, 2019
Examining the ways in which those held within New York City’s prisons and jails suffer disproportionately because of climate change and environmental degradation, this zine recounts the history of the Rikers Island complex and examines its status today. This zine was printed on a risograph using environmentally friendly ink, and it includes a poster on the reverse side. Through this publication, I aim to visualize the intersection of America’s inequitable justice system and the global environmental crisis. This zines are sold as pay-as-you-can and proceeds are donated to No New Jails’ commissary fund.
In Flux, risograph printed meander book, 2021
In Flux is a series of illustrated zines examining queer and trans people’s experiences with healthcare. Motivated by the ongoing attacks on healthcare rights in the United States and the lack of compassionate reporting on these issues, this project aims to share the stories of queer and trans individuals as they navigate the convoluted workings of the American healthcare system. Based on phone interviews with individuals from around the country, the first two volumes focus on the complexity of accessing affirming mental healthcare. When unfolded, the book reveals a poster on the backside.

Enter the Vaporscape, 4 layer risograph printed zine, 2019
Enter the Vaporscape explores an fictional cult group dedicated to solving humanity’s greatest challenges through performing procedures that allow individuals to meld their minds into a digital realm called the Vaporscape. Upon completing their procedure, members enter an infinite shopping mall where they live out their consumer fantasies free from the terrors of the outside world. Enter the Vaporscape reflects upon corporate consumer culture, serving as both a surreal glorification of nostalgia charged 80s and 90s aesthetics and a critique of capitalist escapism.
